Week 959

It's week 959! We spent the bulk of this week at our end-of-year retreat; this time in a big house in the hill country outside Austin, TX.

Our theme this year ties into our core value of Creativity - we think it's great when the team has interesting projects outside of our BNB work. We love side projects (obviously? it's pretty obvious I think), because they fuel a creative fire, and give us a playground to test out new ideas and tech. So: this week we asked everyone to bring a personal project that they could hack on, and we could do show-and-tell, joint cheerleading, and problem solving together.

Of course we also did retreaty things too: lots of good food, lots of games, a couple of movies, and good IRL facetime. I'm sure we'll write a proper recap with photos and details, but in general this was fun, and a different tone than some of our typical 'do a bunch of stuff out in the world' retreats.
