It's week 960! This week has felt a bit crazy, rushing to wrap some things up at end of year, and kicking off a new engagement too. I think for many of us this week has been fairly chill - and we do like to structure some wind-down time for the end of the year. It's nice to go into the holidays feeling like you can really tie a bow on your year.
But I'm also pretty ambitious about my yearly goals, and several of them still have a ways to go. So personally, I'm in a forced march here at the end! It's only December 20 today, but I've been pushing hard to get some things done.
At the same time, we've started a new engagement with an old client, and one that's had some pretty intense mind-melding onboarding. I often say that my favorite part of a project is jumping in at the beginning and familiarizing myself with the client's world. This has it in spades. Lots of facetime and group calls, lots of learning. I'm building my own dictionary of terms and drawing my own process diagrams. I often do that, I guess, but it's been a DEEP deep dive. Exciting stuff.
Also as promised! Nate wrote up a great overview of our Texas trip - it's on the Notes section of our site, and worth checking out.
